28.10.2021 Massive flares below AR2887

Post by Rusted »

I have been struggling with continuous cloud clover and strong gusting winds from the south.
Took a break and then returned to massive flares already underway at 10.27 [UTC].
All images captured through cloud: Maximum flaring:

After the event. Still some flaring to the west. The "smoke" clears from the blast site:

Thanks. I wish it had been clearer. Solid white over the sun all morning.
Not one moment of full strength sunshine. Telescopes blowing about in the gusts.

Wonderful

I wanted to see the movement so I have done a rough animation of your images. I hope you don't mind. I can delete it if you do.

Thanks. :bow

Love the animation Robert! :bow
Would you be kind enough to share how you did it?

The seeing became more transparent later. Though still with a gusty wind.
Mid afternoon: Probably best of my long day at the mill. :D
AR2887 is still bursting with energy:

Can I use it for SPOD?

Oh well, I'll do it anyway and I'll remove later if not happy
