I decided to go back to my neglected LS80 for this day since it didn't look like there was anything significant according to what I saw on GONG. Today's sun had an unexpected unusual event - an eruptive filaprom I would call it. When first seen, it looked like a flare which I didn't bother with. Later, as I was about to pack up because of incoming clouds, I took another quick look around the limb and it had grown into a finger against the sun's "sky". Since I could see patches of sky approaching, I decided to switch to my LS152 for some high res images. To save time I risked putting the LS152 (30 lbs) on my lighter mount (AVX, limit 28 lbs). It seemed to be OK. Unfortunately, the seeing had deteriorated by the time I set up the larger scope
and I didn't get any good images of either the eruptive filaprom which had died away by then or the larger filaprom (one is posted anyway). The first three images were with the LS80 and the last is with the LS152.

Re: Almost missed it (Nov5)
All of these look Great. The eruptive filaprom is bright and really shows up against the disc. The prom on the bottom image turned out well too.
