Can I report that I witnessed a shooting star last night through a gap in the clouds, it was so lucky!

Magnus, I live under the horrendous light polluted skies from Manchester. It has also been permanently under rain and clouds. However, when we went out for our walk there was one gap in the clouds (a hole) and we could see the Moon. Then dropped the shooting star, the Hubby said I should do the lottery  The clouds then filled in again.

How lucky was that, Alexandra? No such luck for me, although my radio detection system is up and running reliably again, thankfully. So far so good for December.

Here are my data so far, showing a huge uptick overnight (13th/14th) here in the UK.

I think that was the peak, but of course I'll provide an update when we get through the storm completely.

Thanks for looking.

Hi,

Yes, looks like the Geminids did give us a good RMO show. Below the result of the two Mexican stations as well as the USA station.

I got a peak of 162 echoes at 5 UTC which was 11:00hours local time of December 13th. The predictions where put on 02:00 hours local time for December 14th :?

It is nice to see how syncronyzed the two stations in my town are. Zapata and Ehlert ...

Comparing to Stuart's data we can see a very good similarity in curves arising since December 11th ;)

There are two more stations in the North of Mexico but since a few weeks they are working intermittently as you can see in the Colorgramme charts

Hi Rainer,

I found the same thing. Like falling off a cliff, the count dropped off rapidly after the 14th.

Hi all,

Certainly some interesting results from the Geminids then!
Here is my take on the peak with heatmap and graphics.

Hi Les,

Excellent. Interesting value of 210 echoes on December 13th at 22:00 hours but looking at Stuarts graph he also caught at that time a huge amount
