Fire and Ice
I remember how as a child I often saw snow patterns on the windows of buses in winter when I was driving to school. And when, many years later, I first saw photographs of the Sun in Ha, it seemed to me that there was something similar between them.
Now, when we have winter and cold, I remembered this and tried to combine the Sun and ice. I took my favorite close-up, which Carbon60 did not so long ago, and combined with my photographs of frozen glass on the balcony. Hope Stu doesn't mind.
Do not judge strictly, in any case this is only a search for an original idea.

Re: Fire and Ice
What a great idea it is amazing how many patterns are repeated in nature but on different scales. We see this many times so maybe it is the law of nature
That's beautiful!

Re: Fire and Ice
That's a great comparison! The similarities are quite interesting to think about. I've always liked ice patterns as well.
I put together another (slightly silly) comparison in October - submitted for your amusement....and with apologies to Jackson Pollock!

Ivan,
I enjoyed your comparison. Maybe the Creative Force of Nature saw beauty in the pattern chosen for one aspect of nature and chose to use it in another.
And tell your snowy team I certainly said " hello "!

Re: Fire and Ice
Thanks a lot James, that's a beautiful point of view. It seemed to me that this is just the desire of our brain to systematize everything and find analogies. For example, it often seems to me that cereals, for example, wheat are very similar to granulation in WL. This is not my photo, but I think it fits well.DeepSolar64 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 11:18 pm Ivan,

I said "hello" to the snow team.
I hope the storm doesn't bring you much trouble. Take care of yourself.

Re: Fire and Ice
Ivan,
I agree. I liken the granulation to rice grains. I think my analogy is similar to yours.
I have 10 inches of snow at the present time. The wind is picking up. So far I still have power.

Re: Fire and Ice
James, I was thinking about rice too
Stay safe. At such moments, you especially appreciate the comfort of home: hot coffee or milk, a warm blanket. I hope nothing dangerous happens.
