Australia day prominences
Mid-week day off here in Australia (got to love it) and not too hot, so the viewing was good enough to try to capture some detail in the big proms. Captured with 4x and 3.5x barlows.

WoW, David! Excellent detail in those prominences. You easily picked up the limb spicule layer in your images as well. You also did well on AR12934 and AR12937. The plasma following the magnetic lines between the spots of AR12937 is easily seen.

Wow, excellent quality, the whole series is beautiful. I wonder if it just seemed to me that the first prom looks like an elephant?
