Point Grey Grasshopper3 IMX174 GS3-U3-23S6M-C Mono

Post by inhapi »

Hello,

Does any one have experience wih this camera ? I can get a good deal on a used one. It uses the same C-mos chip as the ASI 174 mm and also can use an external power supply to reduce noise. It also has a higer framerate compared to the ASI 174 mm.

Any thougths ?

Thanks,

Helen

I have one it is great. I use a battery to power it rather than external power supply. The 'wall wart' cheap power supplies are no better than usb power tbh, whereas a battery is clean power. Using external power allows you to use a higher gain value than without or using a wall wart to power.
