Sun FD in H-Alpha and CaK 8th of February 2022

Post by arnedanielsen »

Dear friends,

Clear blue skies all day and I was able to make use of the lunch-break for a quick imaging session. The huge prom on the SE limb had faded quite a bit compared to the last few days, but was still a nice sight. The seeing was quite bad, especially when I shot CaK, but I didn't have the luxury of being able to wait for moments with better seeing.

Very nice images Arne. Your Ha image easily outperforms it's GONG equivalents. Nice coloring too. And plages/faculae show so well in CaK!

Cracking images, Arne. Your Ha FDs are sublime. You even captured a lovely little loop prom in the west.

These turned out really well regardless of the conditions, Arne. I really like the tall prom in the circle of fire 🔥 image.
