SWPC - FURTHER DETAILS ABOUT THE SWPC-SOLAR SYNOPTIC MAP etc...

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

With Regards to the Space Weather Prediction Centre - SOLAR SYNOPTIC MAP's,

Go to:-
https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/solar-synoptic-map

Open the "Details" tab just-below the chart, for a brief explanation about the chart itself... :bow

ALWAYS CHECK THE DATE/TIME GROUP for relevance... :girl:

The SWPC website as https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/
- has far more data, via its' index at the bottom of the "Home Page" etc., than can be shown here on SC, such as Aurora-movies etc. etc., can be gleaned from that extensive data... :bow

Happy Days (or nights if the Moon and/or DS takes your fancy)... :bow

Thanks for the lessions and info on these maps, Terry. I will find them useful along with the W/lines magnetogram maps that Alexandra has introduced me to.

For me it's all learning and understanding our home star better. To become more familiar and intimate with it and therefor appreciating it for what it is. Our dynamic life-giving star!
