2022-03-14 - 85% Moon

Post by JochenM »

While our cloudy nemeses have returned during the day, the evening last night was nice and clear with a very inviting moon high up in the sky. So I figured why not do a quick lunar session.

Spent a bit of time looking through the eyepiece at what appeared to be pretty stable conditions; so decided I'd try some quick imaging as well. Higher res work didn't really work out (conditions not quite as stable as they appeared afterall), but did manage a decent "full disk" image.

Setup: 150mm achromat @ 120mm f/10, Astronomik 742nm, ASI1600

Thanks for looking!

Superb!!! thanks for the view :bow :hamster:

Yesterday evening I could just about see a hazy Moon glowing through the high cloud, it looked very picturesque :)

Hi Jochen,

Very good but perhaps for my taste a bit too much Wavelets or Sharpening. OK, about taste can not be discussed
