Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone’s tested the Baader Sundancer II yet? There were a couple of reports at time of release last year, from Germany and Italy, but very little has emerged since. The features and instructions are all clear, but what about etalon quality? Also, it’s advertised as 0.6A, plus or minus 0.1A. Appreciate it’s impossible to expect more precision without spending more on an etalon (the bandwidth variation with Quarks is clearly far greater), but those numbers suggests a range between 0.5A and 0.7A, which obviously produce two very different results. I’d be tempted if I could expect an etalon between 0.5A and 0.6A, but don’t want to end up with an expensive filter that’s really only fit for prominences. I’d be using it mostly for visual. Have Solarscope 70mm that I’ll start imaging with in the spring. Otherwise, may as well wait for a secondhand Quark that I can check out before buying.

Thanks Mark.
Tracked down a few reports on German websites today - all very positive. Clearly a niche product though, particularly outside Germany.
