Re: Quarkaction 20.04.22
Hi,
i think i know what you mean.. it really took me a while to find a reasonable Quark and get it running. Now i hope it doesnt break soon
What was the problem with the Quantum?
btw: in German "Quark" means curd cheese

Re: Quarkaction 20.04.22
The best resource you have in high resolution imahing of the sun in H-a is significant aperture increase (8" or larger).
The limit of a 150mm aperture has been reached. And processing is excellent, leave nothing to wish more.

Re: Quarkaction 20.04.22
Thanks, means a lot to hear from you.
Yes, i am now looking for options in the C9 region, upgrade my existing C9 with a d-erf or getting a dedicated solar C9.
I heard about the sad news with the loss of the production facility of your company : (
Be safe, if you consider a move to germany and i can help in any way let me know.

Re: Quarkaction 20.04.22
Dennis,
Tell us, please, have you applied a Flat Field correction for these images?
If yes, do you have images taken with this Quark sample where no FF has been applied? Such images will show a level of this Quark uniformity.

WOW ! These are pretty incredible. The contrast is magnificent. Is this using the Evostar 150ED ? or the achromat ?

Re: Quarkaction 20.04.22
Yes, i did a flat field correction, but actually with the -5 dial setting it is not too bad without ff. Im mainly doing it for to get rid of the dustspecks on the camera.
Here now 3 captured images without ff calibration, different gain settings, no editing:
