Eta Aquarids 2022

Post by rsfoto »

Hi,

Was looking at the RMOB statistics and look like some Aquarids were active.

Sorry about the black hole in my graph. As I did not look into RMOB site I did not notice that my set up was down until yesterday. Shame on me

How about you ?

Hi all,
Here are my results for the Eta Aquarids. "True" maximum showing around 09.00-10.00UT on the 8th, and the earlier activity in the early hours of 4th,5th and 6th is also apparent. The "mega blip" of 145 between 22.00-23.00UT on the 6th seems to be some interference along my "line of sight" to Graves. The heat map titled "Eta Aqr over 10 sec" is the count that the Echos programme considers false, currently set at 10 sec or longer. A mega count of 88 "false" counts appears at exactly the same time period at this 145 on the main heat map display. I've therefore safely assumed that I have not picked up a massive "burst" of Aquarids and "removed" the false numbers (88) from the 145 total for the purpose of the line graph display.
Regards to all,
Les
