2022-05-14 - AR13007 (Continuum)

Post by JochenM »

Another bright and sunny day here. I spent the morning in zombie mode because I decided to do a bit of nighttime visual observing last night and got carried away a bit (stayed up way too late :? ).

The atmosphere was a turbulent mess around noon but decided to take some captures anyway, hoping for a good frame here and there. Most of the data ended up in the bin, but this one of AR13007 came out semi decent I think.

Setup:

100ED @ f/18, Baader Herschel Wedge, Baader Solar Continuum, ASI290

Thanks for looking!

Yes, your image of AR13007 came out nice. Certainly more detail is shown here than I could see with my modest 70mm scope at 50x.

Nice image, Jochen. I struggled with the same turbulent conditions here in the UK. It's so frustrating when the sky is beautifully blue yet the seeing is poor to really bad.
