Sun in Ha, CaK and 430nm 'WL' in good seeing 18th May 2022

Post by Carbon60 »

Great seeing today allowing some closeup views of the main active regions in CaK and at 430 nm.

First up are my FDs in CaK, Ha and at 430 nm

Stu,

That close up image in CaK is phenomenal. APOD! What is the aperture and filter it was taken through?

Excellent Stu,
There are now too many active regions ... too much to see ... don't know where to look :-)

Many thanks, everyone. It was one of those rare days with clear skies, high transparency and great seeing. I got lucky. :)

Hi Valery,
It was captured on a 125mm Tecnosky f7.8 with a Lunt B1800 CaK module fitted internally with an Omega filter to narrow the bandpass.
