Sol FL WL 2022.05.19

Post by nicosolcy »

Today's early morning session: 3014 is the gift that keeps giving, changing its shape as it zooms across the sun's surface. 3007 almost on the limb, thus presenting itself in full glory, while something new is coming around. I used the 183 for the full disk image and the 290 for a close up of 3014 and 3015.

Alexandra,

I come to the office, grab my gear and go to the roof of the building and in 15 minutes I am downstairs processing data. A great way to start the day and make some vitamin D as well ;)

Cheers Franco,

Unless it surprisingly dies out, it still has a few days before it goes out of sight!

My view of AR13014 visually today is quite similar to it shown in your images but in yours it looks more insect like I believe. The umbrae of the big easternmost spot went from three to four in the time between our observations.

Thanks all!

It’s becoming something of a ritual now - daily imaging of the Sun in the very early am. Has a meditative feel to it :)

I know how you feel. It's been a ritual for me for some time.
