19-5-2022 Great Afternoon - Super Activity - Very Happy
Hi Everyone
Very glad that he site is back up and running again, Congrates to all involved in the changeover of Host’s
Yesterday was a great day the seeing was fair with some extended clear periods albeit a covering of thin cloud
I had a great time and hope the images reflect that
Did anyone see the extended detached prom if not I have it included in the images, it did not last that long when I viewed it.
There are several changes in AR 3014 over the period I was out, interesting to see the differances
All in all very happy with the results.
Hope you like them
Richard

Hi Stu, Maurits, and DeepSolar
I had a blast looking and imaging, it’s terrific to see everyone’s efforts, and I much appreciate your comments , many thanks
I am sure I must be able to improve in my processing and presentation, some guys as just brilliant at that
I pushed the button on one of the new Apollo Max cameras yesterday as the reviews and images I have seen so far are just amazing
Looking forward to much more fun under the sun, the detached prom was short lived and I was just lucky to see it, one of the guts caught it in CAK and it looks brilliant, sorry the you missed it DS
Not sure if I will get out this weekend as it’s my Bday and we have some plans, possibly Sunday depending on the GP
Kind regards and thanks again
Rich

Hi Mark
Very Glad you like them the 174M Performs well, I must experiment with other software as I am still using ASIcap at the moment, mainly because it’s idiot proof so suits me well, however I purchased the Apollo Max during the week which hopefully will arrive next week, it will not work with ASI software so I will be on a new learning curve for a while, not sure which package to use yet. Amy suggestions would be well received.
Kind regards
Rich

Hi Alun
Many thanks for you kind comments
Really looking forward to firing up the Apollo for the first time, that is when it gets here.
I have Firecapture and Sharpcap newest versions loaded and ready,
I did notice that it supported player one cameras which is great
I will watch a couple of Utube videos to prepare

Great shots!
For archival purposes and to help others in their technical musings, please always indicate the HW setup used. I'm guessing this was the TOA130 + Quantum 0.4 Å?

Hi Arne
Glad you liked them, many thanks for your comments
As the Great Attractor suggests I should have detailed my equipment used, and as suggested it is
TOA130 with Daystar Quantum SE .4 Ang - Baader DERF 160mm, and my trusty ASI 174M with Daystar .5 Reducer
Software used was ASICap and Registax 6 ,image rotation and final contrast CS6
Kind regards
Rich

Good Morning James
The weekend is upon us, so we are Chillaxing for the day
I am glad you liked them, interestingly , when they are converted to JPEG for the site they are at the lowest resolution as a tiff 13mb, as a JPEG’s less than 2mb
I will look at setting up my own little page with the full res pictures on
Kind regards
Rich
