AR 3032 animation - a Starshed Production!
It was another lovely morning so I thought I'd better get back to trying some animations. I tried a couple in the last 2 weeks but nothing happened so I decided not use valuable storage space.......
So, I captured 250 x 1000 frame videos with an ASI290MM camera on the Lunt 152 DSII - that's a lot of data. Videos were reduced with PIPP and then stacked in AS3. The stacked files were IMPPG'd and the animation assembled in Photoshop. The result is a bit variable in brightness due to bands of thin cloud passing overhead but, overall, I was fairly pleased with the result. It need s a few looks to see all that is going on, most of the action is fairly subtle!

Thank you for your comments.
Alexandra, you are right, the significant action was early in the animation. It's just down to luck regarding what occurs during the capture time. I did a couple of runs last week and nothing happened at all..........all one can do is try!

Re: AR 3032 animation - a Starshed Production!
Very nice animation, Gordon!
You should try to crop the images so you get rid of the artifacts around the edge on some of the frames for an even smoother appearance.
Deflickering might also improve the final result:

Best regards,
