Blast on the SW Limb 6/21/2022

Post by rigel123 »

Animation to follow but will take a while to process. I have been recording for the last two hours on the entire Western Limb and about 16:00 UTC I was about to finish the run when I noticed just a bright blip on the SW Limb where AR3031 would be behind the limb. It quickly grew into a large eruption and is now (16:58 UTC) left with a floating bit of plasma and it appears another flare is starting in the middle of my FOV.

Anyone else witness that blast? It was a doozy!

Here is a link to the Timelapse from El Teide. Make it every 2 minutes and it shows nicely
