Trying out temperatures with sundancer

Today it was a very sunny day again so I could not resist the temptation to setup my telescope in my lunch-break to try out some things with my Sundancer ii.

A few weeks ago I compared my 102mm F7 with a 102mm F11.
This time a tried out the effects of the temperature with the 102mm F11. (With the sundancer the effective F-ratio is 33.)

I tried the settings in the range : minus 7.9 to plus 3.0
After stacking the best 25% in AS3 the darkest images were at about minus 5 minus 4

Hans it's always difficult to choose, but I like the images min 6, min 52 and min 4.

Thanks for sharing this Hans, minus5 would be my choice.
If its about uniformity i would not color the image or add the b&w version to it.

Yes coloring is another thing I have to learn
I added the b/w image.

Thats much better now for to see uniformity, thx. I think its a fine filter and this setting looks good to me. But i would try to tweak the last bits of the right edge with min5 setting.

Min 5 looks good to me, but difficult to tell with the thumbnails.

It does look to be producing excellent results.

Thanks for the review. I was wonfering what the filter was like after reading reviews. Looks like the filter got very good uniformity. I'd pick the min 4 or min 3.
