June 24th Sunset

Post by MapleRidge »

Good day everyone...

We had another sun filled week here, but work offered little opportunity to spend time at the scope.

As the day neared sunset, a nice view was presented as the sun was partially blocked by clouds which created a number of sunbeams. The image below was from the front of the house with my cell phone. The second was taken form across the road, looking across the neighbors wheat field as the sun was almost on the horizon.

The forecast is for clear skies this weekend, so I hope to finish up in the office Saturday in time to get some imaging in before lunch ;)

Thanks Kevin...appreciate your comments :bow

The crepuscular rays did not last for long as the clouds were moving fast, and the effect dissipated soon after I grabbed the pic.
