a collage of two image of a beautiful sunspot of today
I used sharpcap for the capture and I elaborate 17/1000 frames with Astrosurface.
My abilities with IMPPG are not top level unfortunately.
As usual I used:
Takahashi FC 100 DL
ERF 90 mm
Etalon of LUNT 50
Barlow baader zeiss 2.6X (the magnification is linked to the seeing and sometimes 2X, sometimes 3.3X,...)
QHY 178

This is not mean to be a criticism of your image.
I am just trying to help you make quicker progress with ImPPG.
I struggled for ages with ImPPG and desperately needed advice.
So now I am passing on the favour.
Here is a screen grab of ImPPG on my own computer using part of your image. [Cropped]
Note that I am using standard settings in the boxes on the left.
You can always press the "Reset" buttons to return to normal if you don't like your results.
The adjustable Tone Curve box [lower right] has been adjusted slightly just as an example.
This is the curve shape and cursor positions I normally use only as a starting point.
The result is VERY over-sharpened on a JPEG but would give you a useful starting point with a normal, stacked file.
You would usually be using ImPPG on a SER file Mono 16 bit output from the stacking software.
Or AVI 8 bit output from your stacking software if you prefer.
NOT adjusting your final JPEG with ImPPG. Which usually results in over-sharpening.

Dear all, yes, with the new BF 1200 (straight model) I’m fighting a lot with Newton ring. I hadn’t any problem of this tupé with my previous angled BF600 ( but in that case I had other problem of set spot). Some suggested me a focale reducer instead of a tilter due to probabile non uniformity of focus.
Regarding IMPPG I’m never satisfied with the result, even applying unsharp mask. Perhaps I’ve also to play with curves. Let’s see in the future. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.

The newton rings are a major hassle. I have both a B1200 diagonal model and a B1800 straight through blockers, and find little difference in the two when it comes to the newton ring. I find my cameras are the greater issue. I must use the tilt adapter with the ASI1600MM, but can flat out the rings without the tilter when using the ASI290MM. I would suggest trying to apply a flat to the images at capture.
