I still have to fix the tilt of the camera - I partially fixed it but it is too hot to stay under a blanket for too long!
Played in single stack mode, best 250 out of 1,000 frames with the Lunt 50mm Ha and Player One IMX178MM, plus a Barlow set at about 1.3x magnification. Once I get the tilt right, time to slap on the DS module!
So much to still work on to do this (I recall going through the same process when I had my 60mm), but I'll get there!

Re: Sol FD Ha 2022.07.03
Mark,
Thank you for the kind words but this needs a ton of work! I tell you, Cyprus is NOT the place to be when you want to adjust camera tilt in early July! I'll get there though, it will take a few trial runs to get everything going.
Today was more of a systems check. I updated everything on a Mac (Intel based) where I have a dual install of Windows and Mac OS and at least everything runs like a charm.
Also, given the image scale, I used a Barlow component placed at about 1.3x which pushes me marginally into oversampling territory. I will try removing it and using drizzle when stacking to compensate, plus the super resolution function in Pixelmator Pro to see if I am "covered".

That's an absolute beauty, well done for enduring the boiling to get it

Thanks Alexandra!
I will stupidly try today (41°C) to finalize the tilt adjustment and take it from there

Re: Sol FD Ha 2022.07.03
This came out very nice, Nick!
A little bit of uneven sharpness... is this caused by the tilting you are referring to?
This will be a very nice setup once you get everything tuned!
Best regards,
Arne

Re: Sol FD Ha 2022.07.03
Hi Arne,
Indeed, I have to play some more with the tilt adjusting mechanism. It was 41C yesterday afternoon so self survival was preferable to playing with the scope
