Firecapture crashing

Post by FRAZ »

I don't get much time to image and it rarely coincides with sunny skies.

Rushed out the other day, fired everything up and Firecapture started to crash after a few seconds. I wonder if it is the heat on the camera, an update to windows or the camera software but had no time to look into it.

Has anyone had similar issues recently?

Thankyou for any advice or insight.

Did you have enough storage capacity? SSD?
I have had similar problems with Autostakkert AS!3.
Even when it looks as if I have lots of space. 80GB!
I had to delete lots of videos just to make it work again.

It’s so interesting that you should be having problems. My Genika Astro image capture software has also been crashing regularly recently, for some unknown reason. I’ve used it for years without any problems, but I’ve experienced multiple crashes this past couple of weeks….very frustrating as I need to reboot every time it occurs.

I ran a disk cleanup and defragmenter app (even though my system said it wasn’t necessary) and cleared out all of my recent video captures. On my last session I had no issues. Not an exhaustive test, but hopefully the problem has been resolved.
