High-resolution Hα animations (and some WL)

Post by GreatAttractor »

I had good seeing on Sunday morning at my high-altitude side - and used it up capturing Hα animations; didn't have the time to compare the broadband WL filters using the RC8. But at least I managed some nice wider-FOV shots at f/8 (ND 3.8 solar film, Solar Continuum):

Hα time lapses taken with RC8/LS50THa mod (seems I might need to touch up the collimation a bit). Unfortunately, not much was happening, so just enjoy the “swaying grass”:

For some reason I can’t see the animations. Very nice images though.
