July 21 WL Animation

Post by Jordan Konisky »

Image

Dodged some clouds yesterday morning and the seeing wasn’t great but was able to capture almost 4 minutes of videos to create this animation of AR 3059 and surface granules before the clouds drifted by.

Nicely done! Longer time lapses of more complex ARs will show additional stuff like pores forming, moving and dissolving.

You can embed the direct GIF link in a post:

How do I embed the direct GIF link without opening my general Astrobin page? It certainly makes for a cleaner presentation.

Open the Astrobin page, right-click the animation, select "Copy link to image", then insert it here in a post like so:

Code: Select all

I am honored and humbled that my video "July 21 WL Animation" was chosen as today's SPOD. Thanks to all of you for your help and encouragement in fostering the development of any skills that I may have acquired since my wife bought me my first telescope for my 75 birthday in 2016.
