July 30 2022 Observations. Quick SUNocular WL

Post by DeepSolar64 »

My session time was a very short time around 16:30 UTC looking through a break in a nearly overcast sky using my Lunt 8x32 solar binoculars. I could see two side by side sunspots belonging to AR13068 in the SE quadrant of the Sun. With a bit more difficulty I could also see a single spot associated with AR13062 in the SW quadrant nearing the limb.

Good report James. Cloud and rain all day yesterday, today looks the same. Hopefully that new double spot will develop a bit more yet.

Thanks Mark and Maurits. I did get a visual session today using the SMII60 and Orion70. I had planned to do an imaging session today but I ended up too busy to do it being covered up in small kids today! Hopefully soon though.

James
