Solar N200/F4 (176/F4.5) + Quark Chromo + D-ERF 180mm + ASI174M
The very first light on the test set. Uncollimated Newton without adjustments and apertures.
I wanted to test whether such a combination would bring a usable result. Seeing was bad, Quark set by guesswork, but the first photo suggests it should work. Be forgiving.

Good luck!
I've not seen this when tried before work with any prolonged success, maybe you will be the first!

Excellent results for the setup...well done
I was able to get my quark combo to work on a 150mm newtonian, but it wasn't well suited to put Newtonian in the observatory so I didn't pursure the idea. Good luck with yours!

New configuration. N200/F6, (176/F6.8), D-ERF1800mm, LS80DSII + Quark + IMX432. Very good for prominence in right colors.

The assembly is disassembled and will be reconstructed as a lattice structure.
As soon as I finish it, I will post the photos here.

For some unknown reason, the netwon tubes are more prone to instrumental turbulence than closed tubes (HaT, refractors).
I would suggest to rebuild your setup as an open system, like a truss, if you have the chance to do so.
Probably the DERF let 100nm passing through (I don't know the exact spectral curve), so you can figure how much heat will pass through.
Your mirror coating is probably of standard type -> It will absorb ~8% of the incident heat.
Then reflect toward the secondary, which will also absorb ~8%.

Re: Solar N200/F4 (176/F4.5) + Quark Chromo + D-ERF 180mm + ASI174M
I am building a new telescope as an open tube. The primary mirror 200mm/F6 has a coating of 98% reflectivity, the secondary 96%. In addition to the main D-ERF 180mm, the set also includes a 2" ERF LUNT. The central shading will be reduced by using a 44mm diameter mirror. The Lunt LS80 will be used as a double etalon in combination with Quark.

It's quite an expensive project. 180mm D-ERF 1700,- Euro, mirrors 600,- Euro, duralumin 450,- Euro, two etalons 4,000,- Euro and my work is priceless.

Re: Solar N200/F4 (176/F4.5) + Quark Chromo + D-ERF 180mm + ASI174M
This is the cause of the delay of the solar N200/F6 project. Today I finished a new mount with harmonic gears for my friend and tomorrow the Newton project starts.
