Sun FD in H-Alpha 4th of August 2022

Post by arnedanielsen »

Dear friends,

An everchanging layer of thin clouds made both capturing and processing these image a big challenge. But, at least I managed to capture the gigantic prominence before the it came completely cloudy.

Click on images to view them in full size on AstroBin.

FD image in H-Alpha using a Coronado 60mm/BF15 w/Beloptik ITF, stopped down to 50mm, Baader 35nm H-Alpha and ASI 178mm mounted on a SkyWatcher SolarQuest.

Very nice indeed Arne! I'm hoping to recommence with solar imaging next week, this week has been taken up putting a fence in at my parents house.
