2022-09-05 - Big filament around AR13092_93

Post by JochenM »

Quick lunchtime solar session to see if I could capture the large filament. Temperatures outside just over 30 degrees (Celsius), so quickly out and back in again (like I mentioned before, I can't handle the heat).

The entire thing didn't fit in a single frame, you I ended up doing a 4-panel mosaic. In hindsight, it would probably have fitted in two as well if I used less overlap. But I got the image; that's what matters :)

Setup: 100ED, Quark Chromosphere, 35nm Baader H-Alpha, ASI174

Thanks for looking.

That's a super image and beautifully put together. I like the little bright tip to the tail by the main spot, it almost looks like the tip of a scorpion tail :bow :hamster:
