I stumbled across new software that I have never heard about before. It's called Astrosurface http://astrosurface.com/pageuk.html
Here is a link to a video tutorial on the site http://astrosurface.com/manuels/sun.mp4
It's an all-in-one software... stacking, wavelets, and even processing as one would do in Photoshop. Let me know what you think, I have been playing around with it, and it is very promising. One of the best features is the graph analysis and the ability to simply select the best frames you want to stack and continue to process. The other feature is the way you can control wavelet processing.

Re: New Software? Astrosurface
Thanks for posting this. I had seen references to this software in the French solar community and had assumed it was in "French only". Good to see there is also an English version. I don't have an issue using Google translate for websites, but using French language software is a bit too daunting for me (I tried with some of Christian Buil's).

Correct it is french. They do have a UK-translated version that seems to be straightforward; you need to click on the UK flag at the top of the page. The PDF documentation is sketchy even in English, but the interface is user-friendly. Also, there are a few YouTube posts of people using it.
