Preliminary Ha results from Sept 24 CME

Post by KMH »

I was lucky enough to see a significant portion of the CME on Saturday Sept 24. Here are a couple of preliminary results taken with a Lunt 100THA and Grasshopper ICX674. The first was taken at 19:27 UT using a 2.5X Powermate. The second was taken at 21:38 UT. No Powermate this time, such was the scale of the event. Hopefully I can clean up the second picture a bit at least. It was very faint at this point!

Hi

Nice.

I was out and had a good view of a bright and contrasty performance from start to finish.

Cheers. Andrew.
