Hi All,

I managed to go through some more files on Sept 14th and managed to merge 6-8 panels to get a FD. Seems a lot of work to do this still.

Here is an attempt.

Quark Chromosphere
35nm H-alpha (for ERF)
ASI 174mm
Time: approx 1600 UT on 14/9/2022

I think when I rotated the disc, the illumination was affected. I may have a look to see if I can apply an artificial flat frame to even the disc out.

Hello Cybermayberry,
Yes you are right, my disc is not 100 percent even exposure. I think it is because there was change in the weather and clouds were moving in. Flat frames were hard to take as well. Oh well, maybe I will do better next time.

Please have a look at the current SPOD, EricF with his large lift off prom. Even there there is I think too much of a limb darkening. I download the .jpg file and it looked very uneven at the edge, a circumferential darkness ++/

So I agree, these Full discs are ideally done very quickly with good flat frame and stable weather/seeing conditions.

Hi,
I used Microsoft ICE instead of autostitch. This seems to work better and gives a .tiff file.
I think the gradients and uneven illumination are much less now.
