September 29th Ha Sun

Post by MapleRidge »

Hi all...

I have been away form regular posts with a busy work schedule and poor weather for imaging, but Thursday started a some clear weather that is to carry on through the weekend and into early next week. Such is the theory anyway ;)

I had limited time over lunch yesterday and only grabbed a set of FD images through the DS LS80T solar scope. Lots of filaments, nice fila-proms, and a couple of large AR's:

This low resolution image seems to show some 'loop' type of prom activity on the eastern limb...either developing or decaying? I'll have to look at other images to see it it shows in other observers images. It was captured at 14:40UT.

I'm hoping for more chances in the coming days.

Brian
