Pro-Am ESA Solar Orbiter Imaging Collaboration
Hi everyone,
I came across this and thought I would share it with you:
https://spice.ias.u-psud.fr/operations/proam
Looks like an interesting opportunity to participate in some collaborative solar science. Imagers from anywhere are welcome.
I've registered to submit some images....weather permitting.
Stu.

Hi Stuart,
Sounds interesting. Read the " How to participate " chapter a few times ... a bit complicated like all French pages
Will try to register ...

Question for moderators
Would it make sense to create a new forum specifically for this ?

Re: Pro-Am ESA Solar Orbiter Imaging Collaboration
Hi Paul,
I understand you are upset but without the reminder or message from Stuart I would have totally ignored it, as the message from September 9 did just pass beside me ...
The problem in this times is that we are bombarded with so much information in all sort of ways that we loose track of many things ...
Well it started today but I only see clouds here
Rainer

Re: Pro-Am ESA Solar Orbiter Imaging Collaboration
Hi,
One more thing about this.
It is extremely hard to find where we should look at. It took me more then half an hour to find the link which tell us where to look at ...
... and BTW they are 24 hours behind the events ...

I also have registered and received response. Moreover, main communication channel will be on slack, as it appears.
I won't be imaging for the next week or so, though.

Hi Chris,
Here on SDO you can see the first target appearing on the NE limb.
https://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/assets/img/la ... 8_1600.jpg
I am seeing a bit of Sun and perhaps I get clear sky later on.
BTW, today I got en e-mail after sending 3 times my *.txt file

Hi,
The conversations at Slack.com are ongoing but what will happen when the trial period ends in 30 days ? See screenshot left column on the bottom ...
