Hi all,
Focused on the solar eclipse, I was almost going to miss the amazing ballet of the "almost sun" and its Galilean satellites. Fortunately, I saw the ephemerids the last moment and rushed to set the C14 to capture it. The seeing was good only in the start of the session, but the spectacle still keeps much of its beauty, I think.
In the beginning Io is to the right and later reappears suddenly to the left, because it comes out of the shadow of Jupiter. Europa (to the left) follows the larger Ganymede.
I post here one of the shots with the four out five members of the Jovian family and the most spectacular long animation further below. I was obliged to cut the animation in three parts, due to bad seeing in-between and also limited space in my hard disk.
Hope you will like it.

WOW it looks so 3 dimensional as if you were watching from a spacecraft. That's super

Hi Alexandros, this is a magical sight, I can't even believe that it was taken off the Ground.
