Rainy today so doing some reprocessing on animation from 10/23/2022

Post by rigel123 »

Thought I'd try an inverted image on the SW Limb Animation I posted earlier and I think it does pop out a few more details in the proms. I also rotated the image for better viewing. The middle prom appears to have a bit of rotation in it that I didn't notice in the animation I posted earlier. The additional tweaking in Photoshop did leave a bit of a darker limb which looks like it might have been a SS image but it was with the Lunt LS60T in Double Stack configuration. It was simply my selection of the area I wanted to darken a bit in PS.

That's lovely Warren, the middle prom looks like it has some rotation to it, like a solar tornado. Nice work :bow :hamster:

Thanks Alexandra, Maurits and Franco! I agree Alexandra, definitely some rotation in that middle prom.

Well done Warren!
I liked both the "whirlpool prom" and the the 3D filament/prom at the left. :-)
Best wishes,
Alexandros

Yep, when I have to speed an animation up this fast to show motion in the proms the spicules go crazy!
