Milky Sun 29.10.

Post by pupak »

Today's sun was one big milky mess. I didn't even want to take a photo, but in the end I tried a double stack of LS80 and Quark. I was surprised how well this combination of etalons did with the milk porridge.
A patient jet who sees it all.

WoW. I am certainly impressed. These are beautiful. Very nicely detailed with great contrast too. The filaprom looks awesome and the prom image below it looks like a dancing lady. ๐Ÿ’ƒ

I thought exactly the same thing. Ballerina dancing in the Sun. :)

I didn't believe it would be possible to take pictures. The shape of the Sun was not visible at all in the haze. A certain type of cloud appears to be well permeable to h-alpha. It's a lesson for next time.

These are very impressive images at this scale, especially since they were done with an LS80. I've only used for full discs and never thought of using it with a Quark. I'll try this combination this afternoon. Hopefully my clouds will be as kind as yours.

These came out really nice. I particularly like the contrast/sharpness of the first b/w image.
