ARs 13131 and 13133 in Ha 30th October 2022

Post by Carbon60 »

The seeing conditions were awful this morning, but I was intent on capturing these particular active regions for the pro-am project, so I persevered and took a few SERs, taking my chances that at least something should come out okay.

As it turned out, I managed a few shots around the regions, sufficient to make a mosaic of the two regions together:

It took quite a lot of processing to pull out some level of detail from the raw stacked images

Thanks for looking.

Great picture again.

I do not look at the sky with the eyes of an astronomer, but of a person looking for the beauty of nature.

Wonderful details Stu, is that compass to the earth wind direction or to the suns geometry?

Hi Maurits,
It points to the direction of solar north. Thanks for asking.
