Good work.

I do not look at the sky with the eyes of an astronomer, but of a person looking for the beauty of nature.

Thanks Andreas!
Very nice work here!

:hamster:
How did you get a full disc with the Lunt100 ? How many panes did you need, or was it just a single image ??
Where are you based Andreas ?

It has been cloudy and raining here in UK

Thanks
Magnus

Thank you so much Magnus!

The full disc was shot with the QHY5III174M on the LS100. The camera sensor size is perfect therefore...no panes.
I'm based in Bavaria, Germany..;-)

Andreas

Hello Andreas,

So you are imaging at F7 on your Lunt100. Is it a double stack version, Andreas ?
I also thought that the optimal sampling ratio for the QHYIII-174M was F21.6 approx (see Wilmslow Astro)- https://www.wilmslowastro.com/software/ ... D_Sampling [imaging in H-alpha at 656 nm]

Would you be better off with a camea with pixel size of about 1.9 um or near that ? This certainly for a full disc view. If you are zooming in, then maybe a larger pixel size would do.

Magnus
