Flare Nov 12th ?

Post by MapleRidge »

Hi everyone...

I had limited clear breaks in the cloud and drizzle this morning, but did get a few brief views through my PST and there was a concentrated bright spot in the the region around AR3140/3141/3145. Curious to know if anyone else noticed anything...no flares reported as yet on SpaceWeather. My views were around 10:30-11:00 EST or 15:30-16:00UT.

Hi Rainer...

Nice to see you caught something :bow

I was hoping for a longer window of clear skies to use the larger scopes, but it didn't work out.

That bright spot was there when I was imaging at 11:00UTC and I checked too, there was no flares, the line was flat. I think it was just a very bright spot. Sorry, it was the 13th I was viewing, maybe this bright patch lasted a very long time?
