When you know your seeing is baaad....!

Post by Carbon60 »

A beautiful blue sky day ruined by appalling seeing from my location. NOTHING worthwhile keeping at any image scale or wavelength this morning....such a disappointment.

Large file, so it might take a little while to run.

I had high hopes of capturing the main active regions in WL and CaK too.

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

Oh that is ugly! But a wonderful example of poor seeing! A lot what it looks like when I am getting heat waves off of my neighbors roof.

I was the same way today. Five hours of work and nothing.

Hi Stuart...

Sad to see the seeing ruining any ability to collect useful data :(

That seeing looks like mine some days, especially int he winter without any snow cover on the fields.

The seeing was horrendous for me today after a frontal passage. 25x max!! Anything more is useless. I feel your pain Stu!

What is this strange, round object you have captured Stu? :o

I vaguely remember something like this before the sky became dystopian.

I think it begins with an "S"...

Yup. I had that last week when I was doing a live stream from the telescope for work. We were looking at the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn, and it was like they were all at the bottom of a swimming pool.
