They arrived eventually
Just only after a few months waiting the new cameras for tets arrived:
IMX334 and IMX545, both mono.
As soon as I can test them I will post the results.

I do not have a Basler but here on the website
https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/cameras
they are listed.
Why not contact Robin and ask him what the problem could be ?

Re: They arrived eventually
Perhaps there is a clue in "Use Pylon 6.1.3 or earlier."

Re: They arrived eventually
Robin decided against Basler with future version 4.1, therefore I have no hope that even Pylon 6.1.3 (yes, it works) will work in the future.
I never tried Genika Astro. Because it's licence is bounded to three cameras and I am testing a lot of cameras, it is not compatible to my requirements.

Re: They arrived eventually
I figured it out as well; Laura, thank you very much for the hint.
Genika works with Basler, not Touptek. Difficult then.
Firecapture... wow... Basler is supported, but does not run... seems to be a common problem when I look into the support forum.
Looks like we are stuck to the familiar sensors.

Re: They arrived eventually
Finally I have had time to test the IMX545 (a2A4096-30umBAS - Basler ace 2) version from Basler.
It is quite fast:
4096 px x 3000 px at 8 bit: approximately 25 fps
4096 px x 3000 px at 12 bit approximately 15 fps
I did nothing to this image. It is just stecked, everythign else is raw.
(Bob, I guess it is offband, I am never going to learn it anyway).

Re: They arrived eventually
I am a fan of small pixels. The seeing is more a problem, but the details are nice. When I am bored I am going to try a 1.2 x 1.2 um pixel camera, which was intended for a different application...marktownley wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 5:00 am Hi Karsten! Thanks for this.
