November 29 2022 656.28nm Imaging Session.
Here is the imaging part of the session I done earlier today. viewtopic.php?t=38907 It was a rather quiet Sun but I was satisfied with the images, especially the proms. The prom images look better full size so open them up! SMII90 SS.
Here's the GONG image for reference.
Goodnight and good morning everyone.

Fabulous detail in the proms James, have you ever tried a 2x Barlow to get a bigger scale on them?

You are welcome Aaron. It's not so good today, warm but mostly cloudy. I had heavy rain last night.

Re: November 29 2022 656.28nm Imaging Session.
I forgot to state what equipment I used except for the SMII90. I used the FireWire Point Grey Grasshopper camera running on a 17" MacBook Pro with Astro IIDC as the image acquisition software. These are single frame captures so no stacking software was used. Editing/sharpening/processing was done in Paint.net, GIMP and IMPPG which I am just starting to learn to use.
Anyway I hope everyone enjoyed them. Hopefully I'll get around to doing some videos to stack and process soon. I am overdue.
