At first I thought this was a continuum image then I see the faint filaments.

That's good Bill. I had about the same.

I was out there too, around 11:30. Maximum altitude of the Sun today was about 18 degrees, so fog or no fog, we're looking through a lot more air as well.

Thank you all for the encouraging comments. Franco I am in Port Coquitlam which is just east of Vancouver B.C. I have a home made blocking filter heater and did not realize that it's power supply was unplugged.
