january 14th AR 3186 and 3190 R and G filters
Today I had clear skies after some early morning mist. I thought seeing was decent and took the chance of doing some "hi res" photosphere imaging with the 180 mm mak, R and G filters, and ASi 174 camera. I think when seeing supports the long focal length, it is better to image with the barlow with my combination. The sun was full of active regions, I imaged quite a lot, but here I'm posting what I deem the most interesting ones for the moment. I think a good deal of details can be seen in the umbral and penumbral regions of these spots. In AR 3190, I think a light bridge is well evident. When shooting under ROI conditions I could get close to 200 fps with the red filter, which I think helps a lot in contrasting the turbulence. The pictures attached are the result of stacking the best 20% of a ca. 5000 frame recording, followed by wavelet treatment, LR deconvolution and a little photoshop post processing to adjust levels and curves. I was hoping to do Halpha tomorrow, but the sky here will get cloudy again starting from this evening and will stay so for a few days.

This is nice!
I got something very similar using my new cheap solar filter film and i don't remember if i used a Continuum filter or no filter, but i got kind of weird artificial while i was processing it from my old laptop, i will process it again using better computer and see, also same scope and same camera you used, great to know
