Just now catching up from a session on the afternoon of 1/14/2023 since my son flew in from Connecticut to meet up with us and his sister who took us out to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary that was in December. Wonderful weekend and nice that we had some sun to enjoy for his visit. Seeing and clouds made things challenging but seeing the wonderful light bridge that was on the SPOD and then Marty's post from yesterday made me decide to go ahead and post the animation that shows those plasma eruptions that followed right along that light bridge in AR3190. I gave up after pausing between clouds that makes the animation a bit skippy, not to mention the clouds passing across as well!

If I were to hazard a guess we are seeing the spicules highlighted against the darker umbra of the sunspot. They appear just like spicules on the limb.
