Halpha spectroheliogram 15th Jan 2023

Post by Alun_H »

Not been on group for a fair while due to weather being mostly cloudy or when it has cleared the sun was too low at the time so not much in the way of any solar observing. I did manage a quick session earlier this afternoon though using the Sol'Ex with the 72ED riding on my old EQ6 Pro and run off a few scans in the Halpha wavelength (23 to be exact) using the QHY5III 178M and Sharpcap using 16x slew speed to force the scans. After reconstruction using Main_SER Ver3.7 I used Autostakkert to stack 18 of the 23 images and carried out slight wavelet sharpening/processing in Astrosurface and PS CS2.
Plenty going on on the surface including a flare going off in AR3190.
