If you have tried all the usual PST etalon removal methods and it will not unscrew, all is not lost. This is how I removed mine.
I removed the tuning collar, then I marked the adjusting screw location hole.
The Brass tube was then securely clamped in a vice.
I then got a 48 - 52mm "C" spanner, it is a perfect fit in the etalon groove. I put tape around all the surfaces that the "C" spanner will contact the etalon
barrel.
I placed the spanner at the end of the groove and around the barrel, and then gave the spanner handle a couple of light taps with a small rubber mallet.
This was to crack the locktite seal. Once this is broken the etalon will be tight for half a turn then it should unscrew easily
THIS IS A LAST RESORT METHOD, DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I had to choose the same method and I confirm that it works well. Verified on two PSTs.
