South East animation 28-01-23
Today was a stinker of a hot day in Brisbane, typical late summer weather. The viewing was soft with relatively few clouds.
The Sun for me during my imaging session was fairly quiet, I tried a few animations but there was very little activity.
The only exception was the south east limb, where I managed around 90 mins between 0.53UT and 2.37 UT.
It's a big file so it may take a while to load.

Awesome animation Martin! Great show with that stream of plasma feeding that “hot spot” followed by that eruptive loop!

Re: South East animation 28-01-23
Hi Everyone ,thanks for your comments. Capturing live action on the Sun is one of my main interests. My imaging process is gradually evolving.
Here is my current workflow for animations.
Image capture ,Firecapture Autorun feature, 200 frames at 30 second intervals.
Stacking with AS3 best 50 frames, saved as TIF files.
Wavelets and curves with IMPPG.
Shadows and Highlights and Disk masking if necessary with Photoshop CC( Usually only needed on proms to clean up background noise).
Align image sequence with IMPPG.( I always do this at this stage as the images are a lot sharper)
Check animation with Irfan View slide show.
Batch conversion , resize, rename all files in numerical order, convert files to JPG.
Create animation with GIMP. Export as animated GIF with 150ms interval between frames, I'm aiming for a smooth animation at a frame rate that allows the viewer to observe the finer details of the animation.

Tops time lapse video Martin!! Lovely activity as described by Warren.
Thanks for sharing your work flow - it's always interesting to see how others are capturing and processing their data.

Great animation Martin
I really like the proms activity as well as the loops that develop later in the sequence...well done!!!

Hi Martin, yep been melting under the Sun and sweltering in the humidity... get ready for the end of the week with temps in high 30s! 37 I think, yikes!
I just have to say this is a superb animation on so many levels. You are blitzing it! I have been a beneficiary of your work flow for near on 2 years now and it definitely is a winner!
