After 4 days finally a break in the clouds 31 January 2023

Post by Averton »

Our non summer continues with a spate of cool and cloudy days. Today by mid afternoon the clouds had finally cleared, but being that late in the day, the seeing conditions are never that good here. We set up and took a few images anyway. We used a single stack for our Ha close ups to minimise exposure time to try and cut through the muck. Only so successful.

Those turned out nicely for the conditions. You can see the skies affected the prom details more than the surface ones.

Superb.

Thanks Maurits, Warren, Pupak, Jordan and Mark :)
Warren - yes the Ha close up images were a bit iffy but we felt left out not seeing that excellent NW prom over the last couple of days, so we just had to have a try.

These are nice images Clare & Peter. That NW prom has come up particularly well in the Ha FD images.
